Creative Writing Workshop with Floriane Zaslavsky
Date: 16th August
Time: 2:30 PM – 5:30 PM
Duration: 3 hours
Join us for an engaging and thought-provoking writing workshop led by Floriane Zaslavsky.
While writing is an inherently personal endeavour—reflecting one’s own choices and sensibilities—a non-fiction writer also carries the responsibility of honouring the voice of the interviewee and conveying a truth that may not be their own.
This workshop invites participants to reflect collectively on the ethical, methodological, and literary challenges that come with writing the voices of others. It will culminate in a writing exercise followed by a group reading and discussion.
📝 Workshop Highlights:
1. Group Reflection:
-
Ethical questions and the writer's role
-
Methodological insights from fieldwork and past interviews
2. Writing Exercise:
-
Have a 15-minute conversation with someone of your choice
-
Write a 300–500 word piece strictly based on this conversation
3. Group Reading & Feedback:
-
Participants will read their pieces and receive constructive feedback
Whether you're an aspiring writer or seasoned storyteller, this workshop is a space to pause, reflect, and deepen your craft.
